Hey everyone sorry about being gone and not posting anything in a while! I was studying my ass off all through last week so i could enjoy as much as possible my spring break!I was working a lot on homework trying to get things done!!!!

I am going to Miami for spring break soo excited so i will have tons of new posts when i am there!! I will post some cool stores and ideas of what to do in the best city in the U.S! Love that place!

The back of Your Head is Ridiculous

Braids EVERYWHERE!!!
Whats easeir then put your hair in braids and twist them up and turn it into a messy classy bun? Or french braid if you have skillz. I wish.

But lately I have noticed that as the temp. in California rises the skinny and rich celebs put their hair up in braids turning the daily BORIING snore straight, side bang, blend hair into a more formal and chic hair. Oh and just for the record straight and side bangs is soo my thing I am going to try the braids thing though for awhile see how it goes.

A lot of the spring fashion shows also had a lot of the models with braids with simple makeup simple braids. I guess simplicity really is in style.


SO I collected some spring feeling braids.

I hope in the near future to teach you guys here how to do those braids on yourself.

I found Rachel Bilson's braids very simple and like even a dumb dumb can do that but at the same time it is elegant enough to wear to a formal party. Nicole Richie's may look hard to do but it is also very simple she just french braided it and put the back into a bun. Rachel Mcadam's adds a flower to her french braid making it more spring. I like it. Of course I could not forget about my favorite celeb Lauren Conrad of course rocking the simple braid I used to wear to school everyday until people got sick of it and could not stare at me or my braid anymore. Lauren Conrad is a huge fan of the braid hair look. Of course there is also the "regular" braid as well.

Scary Alert/ PEACE NOW

As I said before when I first started the blog this blog is not only about fashion I might post a lot about it but its because I really like it. I post about things I like and things that concerns me or things that just interests me in general. That is why the blog is called mixedcultures right?

I was watching the news and I do not know if I was the only one that heard about the scary video the leader of the religious group AL Quaeda Osama Bin Laden recently sent the American television. Living in the U.S but also going to Brazil (where I am from) a lot and traveling to other places the message scared me. One because I live in one of the possible target places. 2. Because i travel by plane a lot and have loved ones that do to. 3. Because it is scary that our world has gotten to the point that to prove peoples points we have to throw bombs at each other and participate in Wars against terror.

I hope i am not being too biast on my opinions and that I hope you guys understand where i am coming from it is just very scary to go through that.

Nicki Hilton Style

Nicki Hilton aka Nicholai Olivia Hilton. Designer, socialite in the NYC and L.A party scene, and also model. I love her look and I think that her classy look is not valued as much as it could be I mean the girl got a style that is simple it turns heads on how simple but classy it is. I applaud her for being simple but chic something that some celebrities are lacking when to know when enough is enough. Nicki knows that less is for sure more. She is definitely the classiest Hilton sister, but lets not associate her with her sister she is her own person and she likes it that way. I believe that by looking at her style you can definitely get inspired and think a little bit more next time you decide to wear shinny sparkly clothing.

Nicki's hair is also an inspiration I get for my own hair, I try to copy her hair color as well as the haircut.

Also notice that she really is a simple everything makeup, clothing, hair, everything is fast easy to wear with style and I think thats what we all aim for in out daily style. She takes some risk with floral dresses not adding any jewelry with it though keep that in mind. Like any loyal fashionista she invests in a good bag though. Simple and ready to go, my advice invest in ONE good piece like Nicki does in the pictures.

Nicki has a less is more style.

The Old Jenny

I know I already did a post about Taylor Momsen but that post was about the NEW Taylor Momsen, what about the old sweet Taylor Momsen we all new only two years ago what ever happened to her?

I thought her style was a little blend to be honest but a lot better then her rock and roll attitude now.

I personally liked her style back then better sweet, innocent looking, non-bitchy attitude, all the lovely characteristics she does not attain now.

So why not recap her old style and compare how lovely she used to look without that terrible eye make up she wears now. Back when she still had normal blonde heair unlike her Courtney Love hair that she has now. Back when she did not have ripped tights and looked like she was about to work the corner of your street.
The last picture is the reason why I started to not like her, do her parents not pay any attention to her what so ever? Do they want her to look like a stripper? Please go put some pants on.

Free People

Lately I have been dressing going to school kind of with a lazy just got out of bed i am tired style. I was thinking how can i turn my "lazy style" into a California laid back style? Thats why I was thinking about one of my favorite stores, Free People, and realized that is basically their main goal design relaxed styles!

The new collection is ADORABLE!!!! Also Vanessa Hudgens was seen just this week wearing a hat by Free People, that I loved. I picked out some cute "comfortable" "laid back styles" that I liked to show here.

I am all about comfort with style that is my main moto if you are comfortable wearing it and Teen Vogue aproves, GO FOR IT!

Nicole Richie!!!

She went from DUI driving on the wrong side of the freeway, best friends with Paris Hilton, partying all day every night to.... jewelry designer mom of two adorable little kids but she went through all of that without loosing her sense of style.
I honestly love Nicole's style i just wonder how the girl is so skinny even after baby number 2!
anyways...
Nicole is cool Californian style but she also dresses it up sometimes which shows she can switch back and forth and still look good! I think that she really shows that you can pull of some flip-flops and scarfs and still look amazingly good! She can pull of the big bag and flip-flops she is the one who started that trend! I think Nicole Richie has many faces of style and each completes her personality.

I think she is the perfect example of a bohemian diva and punk diva, and rock-and-roll, and beach bum, just everything in general she got going on for her style wise.

Lets get Hot

It's getting hot in the northern hemisphere which means new trends and a new season of style. I got together some pictures of celebrities I believe are showing they have classy and great style!
I think they also showed that you can be classy and cute with summer style. They also showed that you don't have to be slutty with summer style you can also be classy and bohemian. I also got some pictures of Emma Robertson showing a style for the more chill nights of the summer when you still wanna look cool.
I also noticed that this summer is going to be very girlie style full of light pastel colors.
I am getting inspired with some of the celebrities styles and I hope you guys are to!

The Buried Life

How many people out there have never felt like they could be doing somenthing more to society? I know I have!

That is why I was sooo captivated by the show The Burried Life! It is about four young guys that for everything they accomplished out of their bucket list they would do somenthing on a strangers bucket list.

Besides the guys being really super cute, and Canadian, the show really makes you think about were in life you are at and how much have you helped this world. I though it was cool and when the new season comes on Mtv i really recomend watching it its cool fun show about young guys that are cute.

Toms shoes

I was first introduced to this great brand a couple months ag, by a friend, that to be honest i used to copy the style a lot and has great style.

Toms shoes has really cool low key very California kinda type of shoe. It was origanated by a guy from here California that thought it would be a good idea that for every shoe he sold he would give a kid in Argentina a new pair! Well now we are beyond the days of only hyppies wearing them now celebreties are wearing them "cool kids" and he is not only sending them to children in need in Argentina but almost all third world countries and places in need.

The shoe is becoming so popular it can be seen on celebreties like Scarllett Johasson, kirsten Stew, and Shenae Grimes, from 90210, to the olsen twins.

I thought this was a great and cool idea to help out! I wish there were more people like this guy out there.

the shoe is very popular in the U.S and is sold online at tomsshoes.com and at Nordstrom and other department stores it is very easy to find them. Abroad I believe it is best to find a store that sells tomshoes and ships them abroad.

I have been abscent but now i am back.

So sorry I have not posted in a really long time. I have been trying to catch up with life but then life catches up with me and so on...

So I plan to explore new things this time, new ideas, new boundaries will be reached haha i promise.

I will also try to post at least once a week if not more.

I AM SOOO SORRY!!!

I would like to apologize first of all that I have been sooo gonne from my own blog! I am a terrible person! Kill me now will ya?
It just that it seems that second semester of high school, a new high school is just sooo busy and there is lots going on but still that is NO excuse!!! From now on I will try to be more punctual!

The City Girls

I love watching The City for mainly one reason the girls on that show have sooo much style it is almost a freaking joke to me. I love how every outfit they wear i want to wear the same exact one ( too bad I do not live in New York and work in a PR firm or magazine) :( !

Two girls in particular catch my attention every time I watch the show; Olivia Palermo and Whitney Port. I just find them so cool and amazing and innovative it is awesome!

Whitney and Olivia have different styles though. While Olivia is very chic, you will never catch this girl in sweats, and classy with what ever she does. Whit in the other hand is a California girl, like me, she mixes that vibe of cool laid back style with a touch of the city that never sleeps style as well! I like to combine the girls look sometimes in my own look.

Besides inspiring me to everyday looks they inspire me to party looks as well. With all the red carpet events they have a lot of amazing looks to get inspired from. I am in love with Olivia's flowy, hippie dresses. I also love how Whitney wears mini dresses with tights making the dress look feminine but also adding elegance with the tights! Get inspired girls!



I hope that with some of the pictures I post of the girl you guys can get just as inspired as I do when I watch them on t.v!!!
